We are looking for Red Seal & Apprentice HVAC Technicians who are hard working individuals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a positive attitude will contribute to the overall success of this role!
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and repair heat pump systems (residential and commercial)
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures in equipment
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as checking refrigerant levels, cleaning coils, and testing system performance
- Complete service records accurately and on time
- Communicate effectively with customers and administrative staff
- Collaborate with contractors and other professionals on job sites
- Can handle medium to heavy equipment
- Ensure compliance with local and national refrigeration codes
- Follow safety procedures and protocols
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Clean abstract
- Experience as a Refrigeration Technician (2+ years preferred)
- Apprentice or Red Seal HVAC/R license
- Safety certifications are an asset (First Aid, Fall Arrest, WHMIS, etc)
- Ability to work independently or as a team
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Understands the importance of customer service
